Watching, reading, listening or daydreaming, romance has never failed to comfort this high school junior of 17 years of age. But she could forget all that as long as she is reading about two people falling in love and finding their happily ever after. Emily wants a romance for herself too, and she knows just the person for it. Landon McArther, a senior in her school. Landon was everything Emily has always dreamed about and moreover he appreciates her for the person she is. But there's just a teeny-tiny problem. Landon McArther has a girlfriend. While that wasn't in Emily's bingo card, she hopes, prays, and longs for the day Landon will be single (because he is Emily's soulmate, and he has to be) and awaits her chance for romance. Love And Lattes [DISCONTINUED]
"I have a question... Why do you work here? Isn't it hard to handle work and school at the same time?" I asked. He chuckled. "I accidentally chucked Wesley's PlayStation out of the window so I err... Kinda have to work for a few weeks to replace it." I laughed. "Accidentally?" "Actually, I did it to get back at him for dropping my phone into a bowl of soup, but don't tell him that," Levi whispered to me. ~ Every other day Alyssa ends up at Starbucks ordering her weekly latte. It's the same old situation every week, except this week there is a new barista at the till. A ridiculously good looking barista, may I add. Alyssa and Levi speak to each other every week and begin to get to know one another: there will be love, and there will be lattes. Medium Latte for Ell-yot Hayul
[Slow Brew Series 1 of 2] [Completed] Look, I didn't mean to embarrass myself the first time I walked into Brewing Grounds. Or the second. Or...every other time since. But something about the place-and the barista with the messy ponytail and the glasses that she pushes up her nose-makes me forget how to form actual sentences. Bea. Her name's Bea. She spelled mine wrong on my cup the first day (Ell-yot Hayul), and now I'm kind of obsessed. Not with her. With medium lattes. With her handwriting. With the little hearts she scribbles on my cups. Okay... maybe a little bit with her. The point is: I'm a walking disaster around her, and I'm pretty sure she knows it. And okay, maybe I started showing up every morning at exactly 7:30 just to see her. And maybe I've been reading up on how to flirt because I thought that might help (it hasn't). But honestly, what's the worst that could happen? I embarrass myself again? (Already done that.) Spill coffee on my tie? (Happened last week.) Accidentally fall in love with the barista who writes flirty notes on my coffee cups? Oh, wait...
