Sylva Endora has spent her entire life being shunned by her own brother and father, King Arobynn of Sankori. When said king is brutally murdered Sylva, who is not allowed to rule alone, is forced to present herself at the neighboring kingdoms presentation ceremony. This is where their king will choose his bride and future queen. 

      When the young princess is chosen the two kingdoms sing their joyous. But Sylva? She is enraged, but internalizes her anger in favor of the kingdom in which she never loved. Later that night her newly betrothed attempts to take what is his, scarring the poor girl in the process, and all hell breaks loose when she stabs him. 

     With the "assault" on the almost king the princess is to be public ally punished then banished from the kingdom. Her home, her land, her hell. The young girl stripped of her title now must live in a foreign land.... Exiled from her own hell.
