Elora Hawksworth is a demigod with a drop-dead gorgeous goddess of a mother, a struggling single father and powers she can't control. Darcey Blackwater High is a school for the supernatural, a concept unheard of before due to the former restrictions of the magical world. The students there are peculiar but friendly (most of them, at least) and Elora can freely use her abilities to their full extent without worrying about what others will think. However, a new danger is arising for the students of Darcey Blackwater High: a powerful, unknown force is abducting kids seemingly at random and placing them somewhere just out of reach for any investigators attached to the case. Only when it's too late do Elora and her friends realize exactly where the kidnapped students are, and the alarming risks it will take to find them. Together, a demigod, a vampire, a werewolf, a half-demon, a fairy and a necromancer fight against the dangers of the supernatural lands to save their friends, establish peace among the three worlds and save the future of their school. Copyrighted Highest: #161 in Paranormal (August 11, 2017) Beautiful cover made by @Bibich_ ❤︎ Hello! Thanks for taking the time to read this description. This book is a first draft, except for the first couple of chapters, which are taken from the rewrite of this book. This means that you'll probably encounter tons of plot holes and typos! I highly suggest that you read the rewrite, which is titled 'The Anchored'. In my opinion, it's way better structured than the original. However, I'm grateful whether you read this one or the rewrite. It means a lot! Thank you ❤︎ ✮ 2nd place in Paranormal, The Rising Star Awards 2017 ✮ ✮ Honourable mention in Paranormal, The Quill Awards 2017 ✮

Twelve-hundred years ago, the first king of Sacreon led a rebellion against an empire of witches. The war for who would rule next continues to this day. A false guise of peace came over Ert after two genocides, but there is no one so foolish as to claim the fighting is done. A prophecy claims that war will return to Ert when the moons are full once again on Ascenday. That day is growing closer now, and there is not a fool in the warring nations who does not dread its coming. In the midst of this all, the heirs to Sacreon struggle to find their place in this world of kings and knights and gods and elves and witches. A princess falls for someone she cannot hope to have, prince travels south to broker an alliance, a warrior seeks vengeance for the death of her sister. and the heir to a long forgotten kingdom quests for glory. Behind all of this, one man journeys north to an island of long forgotten magic with plans of justice, and The Wolf Witch goes west, searching for the one who can stop this war and unite Ert once again: The Silver Girl. Note: The Wolf Witch is meant to be a prequel to this book, and Sora will make an appearance, but she will not be a main character. By the way I take huge inspiration and influence from A Song of Ice and Fire/Game of Thrones so if you like that you'll probably like this (and my other writings I hope). Cover created by the most excellent @apprehensiveanne. It's very cool.

The Last Dragon

21 parts Complete

Growing up as an apprentice healer in the castle, Ilia loved listening to the stories the knight-mages told. Tales of valour and glory, adventures in the wilderness, things she'd never see while she's trapped behind the stone walls. When knights show up with wounds from battle, and Ilia has new visions and nightmares, her powers flare wildly. What's happening to her? Dragons are rare. When word reaches the castle that a dragon was slaughtered, her life is changed forever. Ilia feels something pulling at her inside. She must help. What can a mere student do when the best Knight-mages are already out there, seeking the last dragons to protect them? With her powers acting up, can she trust what she feels? With nothing more than feelings to go on, Ilia leaves the safety of the castle, the only place she's ever known. Can she find and protect dragons before it's too late? Are her powers tied to the dragons somehow? If so, what happens if the last dragon dies? Will she die, too?
