After the fight with Dio, Joseph Joestar finds himself in the possession of 5 letters. 5 handwritten letters from Noriaki Kakyoin during their trip, signed to each crusader. Kakyoin had written these letters in the very likely chance he wouldn't make it back from the trip alive. Joseph-having kept this knowledge from Jotaro and Polnareff-takes them back to Japan with him and Jotaro to see Holly after their journey.
