THE DALLAN HOTEL is an YA thriller that - through the lens of slavery, suicide, and spirits - reminds readers no matter how deep you bury it, your past will always find you. PSYCHO meets THE AMITYVILLE HORROR, if you will. Struggling with her mother's suicide, 18-year-old black orphan Georgina Kline checks into The Dallan Hotel, "The Deadliest Hotel in New Orleans," to uncover what happened the night her mother Eleanor died before she, too, takes her own life. With the help of Georgina's new friends, hotel employees Heather and Maria, she learns that her mother may not have jumped to her death after all. In fact, she may have been pushed and killed by Gretchen, Georgina's estranged grandmother and Eleanor's mother. And as Georgina discovers more and more secrets about that fateful night - including sordid details about our own lineage - she realizes that she, too, like the ghosts that roam the Dallan Hotel, might never check out.

For once, things almost feel normal. But Nathan can feel it - something's changing. And when it does, he won't be here to see it. Years will pass. The kids will grow up. Katherine will gray and slow. But Abaddon won't. One night, he finds the Relict again - the same one from before. He turns it over in his hands, the glow catching in his eyes. Maybe, he thinks, this wasn't just a blip in time.Maybe he could go back. Just to see them again.
