Luke
~"You are beautiful, angelic, stunning, adorable and every amazing thing that I could ever imagine."

His words melt me. He reached into his pockets on his jacket and said

"I have something for you"

"You have done enough for me, Luke"

"You deserves more than just enough, babe"

I saw a square velvet box on his hands. He opened it up. I was speechless, there were a ring and a necklace.

"I'm not proposing you yet, but this is a promise ring to show my devotion for you, Shayna. I need you. I love you. I hope you know that I would protect you even though I have to sacrifice my own life." he said~

Edward
~ "I'm not trying to replace him, Shay. I just want to be there for you, I want to be able to hold you in my arms. I want you to see me as me, NOT HIM!" he claimed, angrily

"I can't, Edward... I just can't" I muttered, in the verge of tears

He clenched his fist and punched the wall "WHY THE FUCK YOU CAN'T??!"

He grabbed my hand and put on his chest then cupped the sides of my face "I love you, Shayna. Can't you feel this heartbeat only beats so fast for you and only you?" ~ ~

Well, that was it until my whole life turned upside down before and after I met him. He was just a boy who helped me fight my pain, helped me find my new hope and light. And that light was HIM.

"Who was that?" he growled. "Who was who?" "Don't play dumb with me. Who was that guy you danced with. The one you were laughing with." "You need to chill out. That was my best friend Jayson" "Best friends don't have their hands all over you" he spat with a deep voice. "I owed him a - wait. I don't have to tell you anything" I yelled and walked around him. I started to walk back to the ballroom but my hand was yanked back. "What was he doing so close to your face?" his eyes now blacked. "He was looking at my necklace and you are very possessive over nothing" I spat turning around. I stopped when I heard a rip. I took a deep breathe and slowly turned around. I looked at Lucifer who had a smirk on his face. I looked down to see my necklace broken in pieces. Tears were now forming in my eyes. I bend down and scoped up the piece of necklace. "Don't tell me you're going to cry over a f*cking necklace" he chuckled in a deep voice. I took off my heels and held it in one hand and held the pieces of necklace in the other. Lucifer kept talking but I was just trying to hold my tears in. ********************************************* ATTENTION READERS!!! EXTRACT: She rises and hurries to the backyard door, turning towards me with an amused expression. "Catch me if you can." She challenges me, and I'm always willing to take one on. "Oh it's on." This time I wasn't planning on letting her win. She slid the door open and ran outside onto the green grass. Faith tried to careful to avoid slipping it due to the rain. I dashed there following her. "What are you guys doing?! Are you crazy?!" Allegra yells at us from the deck by the door. "You're so slow!" Faith looks back while running. "Oh just you wait Faith-" I catch up just behind really closing to grabbing hold of her. The rain soaked her brown hair and drenched her clothes but she didn't seem to mind. The appearance of her smile was only enhanced by her wet face. I realize I'm supposed to catch her and grab her, but as soon as I do, we both find ourselves slipping onto the grass. Swish. We rested on the lawn, catching our breath from the chase. Faith hovers over me and restrains me by pressing both of my wrists. In retaliation, I flip her over the same way and secure her. "Good try." I sneer and laugh at her unsuccessful attempt. I leaned over her frame, gazing straight into her deep brown eyes, and I had no intention of removing my gaze from them in the future. I seemed to have caught her off guard and she didn't know how to react. Time slowed down for a moment, it continued to downpour, there was still grass in her hair. And out of nowhere, Faith kissed my cheek. There's no way that just happened. ************ end of extract. I won't say I knew I wouldn't fall in love with him, I knew. The very first instant, from the first glance, from that sense of unfamiliar familiarity, I knew. And I think he did too. I wouldn't say it was love at first sight, rather just a feeling like I had some ties to this person, who knows maybe in a past life. Well anyway, I did, but little did I know that the first time it would ruin me. But the second time, It healed me.

You had been attending the same school for over 15 years, obviously because you were born in the small town in North Carolina. You were living a pretty normal life, till all of the abductions started happening in 1977. But lets go back a bit. Lets go back to the year 1976. You had been on a night shift on November 18th, 1976. There were many more people than your previous shift. Really the only people there were dropouts, druggies, drug dealers, freaks, and alcoholics. All around the ages 14-22. Everybody was pretty chill with eachother, except for a few people, but that was just the minority. You had been zoned out while staring at the clock, then suddenly heard a DING! Some kid wanted to buy some cigarettes again. You looked at him and he said "Jesus kid, you in a mental insitute or something? Snap out of it." you ringed him up after he asked you for a pack of camels, and then looked at a familiar guy playing pinball. The same blonde that got over 100,000 his last time he came. Everybody started hyping him up, so he's trying to beat 100,000. You remember the mess you had to clean up after some kid accidently knocked over a bunch of beer. You like to not think about how it ruined your favorite pair of shoes. He messed up again, and kicked the machine. You yelled out to him "That thing costs money you know." then he looked at you. His face almost looked angelic. But he had been the jerk of your highschool, so he couldn't be that angelic. He looked away and picked at his pockets. He pulled out nothing. He started walking up to you and started asking for a dime. "Come on, I feed you guys this money all the damn time. Plus you will just get it back." "Then maybe don't waste all your money on pinball. We've gained around $200 with you coming here almost everyday. Thanks for that." and then you smiled while picking up your book. He looked at you in anger, then you looked back up at him. He looked like he was in a bad mood. "Here's a dime." you said handing him a dime.

I said reluctantly correcting him, as he mistook me with the ring. "Oh! So, is it a YES?" he asks with sparkles in his eyes. "Sorry! But I don't want to get into these stuffs... at least right now!" "Don't you see now why we can't be together?" I whispered at the crazy boy in front of me. "Aren't you repulsed by me? Disgusted? Dis interested? Can't you just tear my heart out and leave like any other normal teenage boy?" My voice cracked. He simply shook his head. "Sweetheart, I thought I made it clear from the first time I said it," He paused, "I. Like. You." He emphasized every word, and I gaped at him. "Hell of a lot, actually, so it'd be great if you stopped being salty and liked me back." "Don't you get it?" I whispered unbelievingly, "After all that, and you still don't get why I can't be with you?" He seemed relaxed, calm. Too calm for this situation. "My life doesn't involve a guy like you, Nathan. Never did. You're not my knight in shinning armor, and you aren't going to save me. This is reality, the real world. And the real world doesn't have happy endings." ---- To me, there's are six different types of crying. One; The Breakdown. Two; The Longing. Three; The Hysterical. Four; The Broken. Five; The Happy. Six; The Inevitable." ---- This short story is very depressing, I'm warning you now. It may trigger memories, or depression symptoms.
