Charlotte Brecker is known to be the happiest girl to ever walk through Hogwarts' corridors. The ever-smiling girl has never been seen or heard, to be negative. Everyone wants to be her friend and she wants to be theirs.

Then one day, she gets into a terrible accident with the Whomping Willow while trying to look for her lost cat on Hogwarts' grounds. When she wakes, she finds Remus Lupin lying on the bed next to hers, bloody cuts along his face and his skin nearly as pale as the sheets.

Only after this does she discover his wonderfully kept secret. And only then does she realize that the world is full of more than just her chocolate milkshakes and cauldron cakes.

Charlotte then decides to pull her hair back and get her hands dirty, diving headfirst into the wizard war brewing on the horizon. She decides to fight for what and whom she loves, even if it costs Charlotte her life.
