A new deadly virus is spreading rapidly, after patient zero escapes and ends up at a local festival infecting 100's of people. As the threat of the virus increases the government is forced to take action. They order everyone to stay in their homes unless they have permission and a police escort. The military makes food and resource drops to the people ordered to stay home. Anyone infected is taken to quarantine, but when Farah's mother gets sick and is taken , her father starts to question what they are really doing with the people they take. He searches desperately for answers, to no end. He breaks in to one of the medical centers, and discovers something horrifying. Before he can tell anyone what he found he mysteriously goes missing. 
              
The story then jumps to about 12 years later. 20 year old Farah is still trying to find out what happened to her parents. Things have only got worse since they went missing. There was no getting in or out of the city, unless you're taken to quarentine. She joins the resistance (against the government), and they end up planning a sneak attack on the military base where everyone goes to get food and get tested. During the attack Farah bumps into a now 24 year old patient zero. After helping her escape, she convides in Farah. She tells her that the government is lying about everything. Getting taken into quarentine might be the only way to find out the truth...

Demalynn is surprised to find out she is the Helper, but is astounded to learn the identity of the Gravidarum. Everyone was evacuated from the home planet over 150 years ago. Our planet was dying, it was only a matter of time before our race was wiped out. We now live on a synthetic planet designed and built by our ancestors who came together from all parts of the globe to devise a plan to save us. We have lived peacefully for over a century.. Until now. Our lives were threatened when a mysterious and deadly virus broke out, killing entire communities at a time. The council says that they have a plan; they said that in order to prevent the death of more innocent people they will test every man, woman, and child for signs of the virus. Any person found to have been infected will be quarantined, the ones who die will be given a proper burial while the ones who survive are deemed carriers and are to be sent to the home planet to prevent further outbreak. I was prepared for the people I know and some I love being taken away for the greater good, but I never would have expected that among the list of people being taken from my community, that I would be one of them.. I survived the quarantine. Now for the survival of my planet I, and the other Carriers must be sent to the home planet. I'm going back to Earth.
