When the rebellion fails in over throwing the government, the Capitol's control over all thirteen districts becomes more powerful than ever. Although it was a victorious battle for the capital, they forced their remaining and reconstructing districts to secrecy, to not speak of the rebellion or the hard battle, to prevent the younger generations from sparking their own ideas.
Katniss and her young daughter, Wren, struggle through life in District 12. Things are tough without a husband or dad. The Capitol had taken Peeta, snatching him from their lives when Wren was only a few weeks old. The Capitol wants their old Victors to suffer. It is just too bad that poor Wren was at the end of that deal.

What if Katniss and her family, Gale and his family, and Peeta and his brother ran away from District Twelve after the Victory Tour? For this fic to be plausible, we need to assume: Katniss is 'selfish' enough to choose her own safety over that of other people (which she isn't because she's awesome). Gale doesn't know about the uprising in 8. Peeta tried to get his family to come too but only got his brother to agree, and he is okay with this. Haymitch doesn't do anything to stop them. President Snow has not electrified the fence (but let's assume he did electrify it that one time) and has no cameras in the woods. So if we can accept all of this, let's do it!Concluída
