There has never been a single act of violence aboard the generation ship Gaia in six hundred years. But now, about halfway to its final destination, a young man is found dead and detective Calamina Nhyn, out of her depth, is racing against the clock to try to find the killer before it's too late.

"The young man must have been in his mid-twenties, a pointed nose, strong jaw, dark lashes, wearing the navy-blue uniform of the Guardians. His platinum blonde hair floated around him in the chamber's antigravity. His face looked peaceful. If there had been pain, there was nothing in his features to show it. Were it not for the paper-white skin and blue lips, I would have thought he was just sleeping.
I held my breath as I examined him closer, just like those Protocol vids OM made me watch on the way over had instructed. My hands shook as I looked over his body for injuries, as I sampled his blood, saliva and hair, as I swabbed his clothes."

Commander Nia, of The USS Nebulus, follows a cosmic trail to find her captain, who is kidnapped by a Type V civilization in the Epsilon Carinae System of the Carina-Sagittarius arm of the Milky Way Galaxy. She descends into an H II cloud, breath bated, unaware of what awaits her on the other side. What she finds sends a shockwave that shudders her very pillars of existence. *Fun Fact* This story began as a short story I wrote a while back. But then I thought, what the hell, couldn't hurt to try and make it a ten-volume novella. That's why the first part is quite long spanning about 5,000 words. Chenford Season 7
This is what I imagine (want) to happen straight after season 6 ended (Aaron is still in the story despite him having confirmed he won't be in season 7), focus on Chenford, slow burn. The Oscar/Jason storyline is incorporated from season 6 but not Monica. Lucy sets out to prove herself again as a good cop after her disaster with the detective's exam. Will the awkwardness between Chenford be resolved? Or will it all come to a head? Disclaimer - I have stayed true to each character's mannerisms in the show, so if you're looking for a story where Tim calls Lucy his pookie princess and is overly gushy, you won't find that here. I have remained as realistic as I can with each character's actions, behaviours and words.Complete

The woman steps over me and retrieves the phone. She looks at it as if it's a foreign object, "This won't be necessary. All I want to do is talk to you." For some reason, instead of screaming, I stay silent. She smiles and pulls out a chair from the kitchen table for me to sit on. When I don't sit, she says, "If you want to know what's going on, then sit." I think about it for a moment. She hasn't hurt me yet, and I have to admit, I am quite curious as to what's going on.
