That's how everyone would explain that bristling war. Ryder does not think that in any way. He thinks it just a way to give the Masters and Servants the right to murder the innocent and to conquer. Just to get a wish but at what cost? Ryder was raised to be a strong and powerful Master. It's what he's been working hard for his entire life. The time has come and Ryder needs to summon his Servant and he was kind of hoping for Berserker. Ryder realized that there were seven masters with seven servants. He was relieved but yet troubled by all of this information. Did he work hard for his entire life just for it to mean nothing? Ryder was not going to accept that fact and wanted to exhibit his preparation over the years.

Blade is a heroic spirit but he eventually went rogue. Most of the past servants and Masters looked up to Blade or envy him. A lot of people involved in the Holy Grail wanted him or to be his master from the amount of power he possessed. Blade almost won The Holy Grail once but he put too much trust into another Master and Servant. They overthrew Blade and his servant and sadly Blade could never make his wish. Blade was furious and drove madness into the spirit realm and not giving mercy to anyone except the ones who were pure. Blade told The Holy Grail and everyone else that he wanted no part in The Holy Grail ever again and if he was... He swore to make a living hell and next time there will be no one to stop him.

Ryder and Blade will need to join forces.
