"So how's it going with your long time crush on the one and only Mason Millers huh?" Skylar asked while wiggling her eyebrows at me suggestively.

"Bad. Really bad. Do you really think that I, Natalie Davis, would be getting any sort of attention from him?" I asked incredulously.

"A girl can dream right?" she said.

"Yeah no honey think again. As much as i want that to happen, i know it won't. It would literally take something like a life and death situation." I told my best friend Skylar who was looking at me sympathetically.

"Well you never know Natalie, anything can happen."

Natalie Dawn Davis. She isn't that known to the school population but she isn't not known either. I guess you could say that she's just in the middle. Sweet and caring when she wants to be but still a little sarcastic and sassy just like everybody else at her high school.

Mason Beau Miller. He on the other hand, is very much known to the school population and is known as the best friend of Lakeview Highs "it" boy. He's flirty and arrogant at times but still respectful and kind unlike the other guys you hear about from movies and books.

Natalie's long time crush on Mason Miller has been going nowhere for the past four years, but that all changes when one slightly life threatening event occurs at their very own Lakeview City.
