The two kingdoms have been under conflict for many years. When war seemed inevitable and disadvantages seemed to arise, The queen decided to send her younger son to the enemy kingdom as a hostage. He was considered useless, incompetent, a coward and unworthy of the title of a prince. And so when he found out that he could be of some help to his country, he gladly chose to comply even though his safety was not the least bit ensured. 

The Mingyu kingdom was not ruled by a king but by it's crown prince; A person who was shrouded in mystery. Meeting him could be considered a chance of one in a million. Not much was known about him but one of the well known facts about the prince was that he had a scar under his right eye which was considered cursed as whosoever saw it Directly would not live to tell the tale.

All except for one ofcourse. This exception was non other than Taehyung.
