Camila a receptionist on a unit her father built for "special victims" is best friends with Detective Shawn Mendes of the Toronto Special Victims Unit.  They've been inseparable since they met at a college party a few years ago.  Both are adventure loving, caring, compassionate people who love their respective jobs.

There's only one problem....

Shawn is head over heels in love with his best friend, and while his other friends may be able to tell from a mile away, Camila is blind to the fact that Shawn would literally die to have her as more than friends.
