Mature
In his childhood, Jonathan Walsh suffered from homophobic torture practices through religion. While running away without a final destination, he is taken in by a man who is unlike his usual. Now confined to his head, Jonathan tries his best to adhere to the knowledge he has been forced to learn, the suggestions of his aid offending him as he couldn't help but feel satiated. Despite seeing himself as unworthy because of his 'mental sickness', he finds himself at Ronan's mercy and is persuaded to ignore his beliefs for a chance of peace. Jonathan's emotions are at their height as they'd lingered from the very beginning, but Ronan has his own story to tell, one that is equally dangerous. They both battle wars with trust, respect, and meeting on common ground, those issues encouraging their attraction toward each other.

20 parts Complete

Book 1 of The Depths Below trilogy. When Ronan was thirteen and started giving people electrical shocks whenever he touched them, he asked his mom why it was happening. She immediately answered static electricity. When he tried to explain that he knew it wasn't static she changed her story saying instead that his father used him as a lightning rod during a bad storm and he happened to be hit by a strong bolt. And for some reason he believed that story... Now... nine years later, he's found he can do more than shock people. He can talk to fish. He thought about asking his mother how something like that could be possible, but he doesn't think he'd get a straight answer. He's beginning to think she's keeping something from him.
