It has been said that "Well behaved women seldom make history." In the case of Charlotte Brunswick, this could not be more true of a statement. After running away from her abusive and neglectful household, she survives on her own the only way she can: By pretending to be a boy. No one ever questions a boy's capabilities. A boy can be employed anywhere, doing anything, no questions asked, and while Charlotte is every bit as strong and capable as a boy...no one will allow her a chance to prove that unless she poses as one. The entire situation is unorthodox, and not something that a well-behaved young lady should be involved in. But as the saying goes..
