The perfect Slytherin was hard to find. Everyone had their own notions about what being a true Slytherin required. Some would suggest a pureblood with pride, whereas others would give it to the one whose future shone brighter than their peers. Gryffindors, notoriously ill-matched with most Slytherins, thought Slytherins were sorted based on their incapability to understand basic human emotions, or lacking the empathy to care. However, everyone agreed that if there ever was a Slytherin ideal, Rosaline Rosier would come closest to fullfilling it. Her ambition dripped from her every word, and her every deed. She was infamously hard to please and cared very little about her fellow students, often treating them with a coldness not even the Slytherins were familiar with. Rosaline aimed to please her mother with her intelligence, hoping her achievements would give pride to their tainted family name. She managed quite well, having proved her worth since the minute she entered Hogwarts, earning her house a legendary 100 points in her first week. However, a curse rests on the Rosier family. The story goes that whenever a Rosier is born, the Dark and the Light fight over the new member's allegiance. The battle of faiths, and its wins and losses, can be witnessed in the beauty of the Rosier eyes. Have the faiths already made up their minds about Rosaline, or does she still have a say in the matter? Can her mysterious grandmother keep her from the Dark? Whatever happens in the future, Rosaline, sharp and beautiful, will forever be: The Slytherin Rose. *Disclaimer* The rights to the Harry Potter series belong to J. K. Rowling. Teddi Ryan was never the villain they made her out to be. Born into a proud Pureblood family, a member of the Sacred Twenty-Eight, and sorted into Slytherin House, Teddi quickly learned the world had already made up its mind about her. But beneath the surface - behind the polished manners and sharp wit - was a girl with a heart too stubborn to hate and too brave to follow orders she didn't believe in. Raised to look down on others, Teddi's loyalty was only ever to those who truly earned it: her best friend Daphne Greengrass, her beloved brother Wyatt, and the handful of students who saw beyond House rivalries. But when Teddi discovers her parents have pledged themselves to Voldemort - and expect her to do the same - she faces an impossible choice: obey, or risk everything. Forced into the heart of the darkness, Teddi walks a dangerous tightrope - attending secret meetings at Malfoy Manor, pretending loyalty to the Dark Lord, and manipulating those who would call her friend. Only Draco Malfoy sees through her mask, and the two form a bond that turns to a fierce, forbidden love. But betrayal comes at a steep price. As the war claims those closest to her - first Cedric Diggory, then her beloved brother - Teddi makes a choice: she will not be a pawn. She will fight back. Training in secret under Dumbledore's guidance, mastering spells even the Ministry had forgotten, Teddi becomes the Order's invisible ally - saving lives from the shadows, protecting the trio's path to victory, and defying death itself. When the final battle comes, Teddi must stand between her parents and the girl they were ordered to kill - Hermione Granger - forcing them to choose between blood and blind loyalty. And when the fate of the world hangs in the balance, it is Teddi who shields Harry, who saves Draco, and who ensures Voldemort's fall - even if no one ever knows. She doesn't want fame. She doesn't want thanks. Teddi Ryan only ever wanted to be free.
