In the northern sky, the constellation Scorpius thrusts her painful stinger into the heel of the doctor, while she is crushed by the weight of his foot. Similarly, Jade Harris and Sabik Nejem have been at odds since they met, motivated only by their disdain, yet shared attraction for the other.

After losing a bitter fight against her rival, Captain Robert Fairburn, Jade and her crew decide to contact a foreign governor for aide but realize that new allies might be more dangerous than the enemies they once faced. While Joshua Holden and Aiden Payne flee yet another dangerous trap of the governor, Sabik works with a mysterious young woman who may hold the answer to a long-awaited question, but his bickering with shipmate Jade Harris continues to distract him from work and family.

Meanwhile, Suzaku Baines returns to Longport to find his childhood friend, a fledgling empress, and her empire built on nothing but a collapsing wall of sand. His own efforts to save a land he once loved may not be enough, until a dangerous heist planned by Jade Harris and the crew becomes a last-ditch effort to save Duranta from falling into the hands of pirates.

Venture to Uncertainty (#1) by tarishannon18

It's a deadly plan, and it goes like this: First, become a crew member of the Avourienne, a pirate ship notorious for its charismatic captain and wicked ways. Second, trick the ship's cunning strategist, famous for winning every game she's ever played, into believing a delicately spun lie. Third, get close enough to their tyrant king to put a knife through him. Deadly doesn't quite describe such a plan. In fact, inconceivable may be the better word. But Archer Kingsley has a knack for such things, and he feels he's going to pull off this plan with the ease he does most everything. Perhaps he's not quite aware of the absolute hell that's about to break loose, but truthfully, it's so much better that way. Because true adventures are born from uncertainty. * Cover by xxsoteria Mature themes you may encounter in this book: - harsh language (it's a pirate book) - violence (it's a pirate book) - sexual implications (it's a PIRATE book) However, this story does not violate any of Wattpad's mature guidelines and therefore is not marked as such. Echoes of the Enchanted Sea

14 parts Complete Mature

The sea is an unforgiving mistress, but none know her depths like Captain Niamh O'Connell. A bold and fearless leader, Niamh has spent her life carving a path through treacherous waters, fabled islands, and the looming shadows of ancient gods. Yet when the Morrigan-goddess of war and fate-marks her with a curse, Niamh's journey takes a darker turn. With danger lurking in every wave and whispers of a monstrous sea serpent haunting her quest, Niamh must rely on her wits, her crew, and an enigmatic selkie whose charm could melt even the hardest hearts. But in a world where loyalty is tested and myths become reality, the lines between friend and foe are never clear. As Niamh ventures into uncharted waters, where forgotten cities and cursed seas await, the greatest battle she faces may not be with the monsters of the deep, but with the secrets hidden in her own heart.
