After Thomas had "killed" Newt, and left. Elaine appears shortly after and realizes that newt is still barely alive. She heals him, and helps him get back to his feet, and together they find a way to the Safeheaven.
And along the way, they find love and hope within each other. And find they're way home, to they're friends and family. But they learn something about Elaine's past.
