Both are college students in the music department and started off as partners on a project in class and quickly became friends. With his status as an idol and rapper in his own right, he longs for someone who could care less about his status. He finds he's starting to see that in Sharice.

While Sharice is aware of his celebrity status (and is a low-key fan), she's seen Kim Namjoon instead of the superstar RM and appreciates that he's comfortable enough to be himself around her.
