Jorden Daniels is a college student and her older brother, Jake, is a vampire and has been for a year now. She's accepted him for what he is and loves him just the same. She accepts vampires as a part of the real world that she never knew existed. When her English professor turns out to be a vampire she plans to avoid him, but what the future holds is nothing she could've imagined.

Micah Paxton is a vampire and in his eyes, a monster. He keeps to himself. He's been many things in his existance--a doctor, an actor, a painter, but now he is a professor at a North Carolina college and one of his students is different. She looks at him with knowing eyes and she doesn't seem to be subconsciously affected by him like all the other humans...

When someone threatens them, can they find a way to protect themselves and the people they care about? Can Jorden learn to use a heart warped by loss? Can Micah stop seeing himself as a monster and someone worthy of being cared about? Read to find out.

AN: I already have several chapters written and will post regularly as I continue to write this book. It is the first of my stories I'm publishing and I would love any sort of feedback you can give so long as it is constructive or complimentary. Thanks a bunches. Suggestions for the story are great and will be considered and will help me avoid writer's block and potentially help the story to have an ending that will be as satisfying as possible for those reading.
