In this AU, Luz is in every track. But her main one is Beast Keeping. She does the others for fun or extra credit. Luz is still being taught by Eda, and still has her sweet King. Amity is taught by Lilith, and is human. She needs to do the same thing Luz -does- Did, by using paper.

Ever since the Noceda children were little, they've always had problems. Luz was bullied as a child and even in her pre-teen years. The girl didn't know how to defend herself, so she had to rely on her older sister Lucia. People always thought the pair were weird and Lucia was not having it. She's gone through her whole life following the rules and doing what she's told, but will it all be worth it in the end? Luz Noceda is the opposite of perfect. She's an outcast who's seen as awkward and weird by her peers, and her only friends are the characters she reads about. It isn't easy being one of the only openly queer kids in her school. All she wants is someone to understand and love her for who she is, but will that ever happen? The two couldn't be more different, but when fate (or the science teacher) brings them together, will they form an unlikely friendship, or maybe something more? --- In this AU they're all humans, and they're also two years older for story purposes. --- You can expect: rivals to lovers but mostly friends to lovers, angst, fluff (eventually), mutual pining, found family, gay panics™️, Luz being oblivious, Amity having a sexuality crisis, etc. All before having a happy ending, don't fret, my child! --- Not intended for children. Amity's breath hitches in her throat, and she doesn't speak. "Can I kiss you?" Luz asks, her breath tickling Amity's lips. Without any hesitation Amity nods her head yes, her eyes still wide. She couldn't believe it. Was this actually happening or was she dreaming? Luz looks at Amity again, obviously nervous. She doesn't seem to move, so Amity does instead. She cups Luz's face with her hands and gently brings her closer, pressing her lips against Luz's. The hybrid lets out a muffled squeak of surprise, but doesn't pull away or try to stop Amity. After a moment Amity releases Luz and covers her mouth with her hand, her cheeks tinted pink. Luz says nothing, and her ears lower, the tips of them red. "Wow." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Luz Clawthorne-Noceda had always lived in the demon realm along with Camila and Eda, her moms.
