Heartless: Displaying a complete lack of feeling or consideration. Eliza Bolton's life was forever altered when a fateful accident left her with more than just a broken right leg. The culprit? Jayvin Black McGill-known for his ruthless ways, a bad boy with a reputation for being both a gangster and a playboy. In the blink of an eye, her world turned upside down, and she lost not only her memory of the accident but also the man behind it-Jayvin himself. Now, Eliza must navigate a world where every piece of her past has been erased, but one thing remains: a twisted obsession that lingers in the shadows of her mind. As she falls deeper into a dark and dangerous spiral, she faces a nightmare that seems to follow her at every turn. Follow Eliza on a harrowing journey through twisted desires, shattered stars, and the wreckage of a life she never saw coming. >¤< "You made this happen, Eliza," Jayvin's voice was low, cruel, as he traced his finger along the edge of her skin. His touch sent a shiver through her, his breath warm against her ear as he spoke again, "Now, I'll make your life hell." Eliza's heart pounded as he lifted his head, locking his eyes with hers. Fear surged through her, but her hands were bound, leaving her with nowhere to run. "The hell I've been living for the past six years," he added, a sinister smile playing on his lips. With every ounce of her will, she resisted, but his gaze burned into her, and the darkness that surrounded them was all-consuming. "Shall we begin..." he whispered, his words laced with a promise of torment that she could no longer avoid. "Ava, you have to be quiet! They'll hear you-" Tears started to spill from my eyes, blending in with the rain that dripped down my face. I shouldn't have come here. The last time I followed someone I made accidentally noise and got them killed. I had to get away from Jaxon. I turned on my heel, ready to run to, but Jaxon grabbed my wrist. "Let go" I choked, "I have to leave. You're in danger-" The next thing I knew, his lips crashed onto mine. His arms wrapped around my body, pulling tightly to his chest. "Stop it" I sobbed, unable to control my trembling. "Why are you doing this? Let me go-" "I had to get you quiet" he murmured. "Please Ava. You have to try to calm down. I understand you're scared right now, but you have to trust me. We're going to get home safely. Stay with me a few more minutes, and then we'll get the f*ck out of here. I promise." -- A little about Ava: She has made the long move from Detroit, Michigan to California to escape her gruesome past. He just stood there. Looking at me. The way I had reacted had put him in a state of shock. "I... I um," Every word I had learned from pre-school to now had just flew out of my mind and left me speechless. "I should go." I could tell he could barely hear the hurtful words I had just chocked out of my mouth, but I didn't care. Not anymore. I walked away. Fighting back tears. I drove all the way to my house and when I got there I fell against the cold wall. What had just happened? All I knew is that I wasn't able to think straight. My mind was clouded with memories of him. I shook my head trying to forget everything that was involved with him. But I wasn't able to forget. These thoughts were a part of me now. He was a part of me.
