Lanie Bythesea has attended St. Ailbe Catholic High for the past two years. Now in her Junior year, Lanie is excited to almost be done with high school. However, her crippling shyness has kept her from many of the things she desires and has left her quite lonely. The exclusivity emitted by her community has caused her to isolate herself even more and make her feel completely and irrevocably unlovable. However, when she comes across the extraordinarily handsome, charming and mysterious Bennett, she is finally presented with the chance to grow, and her life will forever be changed.

Bennett Everheart, the newest and youngest ever Alpha of the Lunarclaw pack, is starting a new life at a new school after his father recently settled the pack into a new, mountainous region due to a dangerous and ongoing war between two neighboring Alphas. Upon opening the doors to St. Ailbe Catholic High, Bennett is immediately overwhelmed by a marvelous and unmistakeable feeling: his mate is nearby. He rushes throughout the school, searching for his other half, to find a beautiful, human girl.
