I look into her searching eyes, all i see is a sad broken girl, then I look at the sand beneath my feet in hopes of remembering when exactly i got it. I tried remembering but nothing popped up. I let out a frustrated breath and ran a hand through my hair. I look back at her about to answer but she reads my expression knowing my answer "you don't remember" she nods knowingly __________________________________________ The craziest thing happened... I am wide awake. At 3 am, and all I can think about is him, turned to his left, left cheek squished onto his pillow, eyes shut, not tight shut but gently shut. Him breathing quietly and a soft light from the window falling upon his face. Sleeping. All I can think about is how he is at peace, sleeping without a care in the world. Even if tomorrow he would wake up stressed and agitated. Right now he is asleep, peacefully, and here I am. Staring at the ceiling, begging to god to stop the pain, my hands entwined together, saying to him that I'm tired and that I'm not as strong as He thinks I am. I still believed in Him, because whenever I lost faith, I got a reason right away to not lose it. My dearest was at peace, he was happy without me. And this time I knew. He was not coming back. He was gone. And all my memories of his smile, his hair, his body scent, his hands, the scars on his body, his two vampire-like teeth, his expressions, his cheesy lines, his eyes. His eyelashes, eyebrows, and the way he used to light up after seeing me rushed in. Of how his eyes didn't shine when we met for the last time. How I missed the special way we used to say goodbye. He loved me. He always had. He put in all his efforts just to see me. He did it all. But he didn't love me, not anymore.

I wiped my tears again and put a determined expression in my eyes. I took the last shot, looking into his eyes. Everything would end now. Our love story, which we wanted everyone to hear but was not heard, would end. "I can't forgive what you did, no matter how much I love you." He opened his eyes wide. "But you said you forgave!" I continued talking, ignoring his words. "And know that I would never want to forgive someone like you!" He was devastated by my words and a few tears fell from his eyes. Before turning around and leaving, I said, "I hope you forget me and move on happily with your life loving someone else. "I turned around and started walking without looking at his face one last time. I had only taken a few steps when I stopped because of what he was yelling. His words hit me like a slap. "How can you tell me that I can have a heart that beats for someone else after you turned your heart to ashes with your love! Don't go! Answer me!"
