Orenda is a world in which you use credits to rise in society. Those who are nobles recieve their yearly salary of credits. Those who aren't have to fight for them. It's possible to earn enough credits to become a noble, but it would take more than a lifetime. To combat this, you're allowed to kill as many people as you want to steal their credits and have a higher place in the world. 

Aysha watched her parents killed by a man who needed their deaths to further his own place in society. She became an orphan who learned the true horrors of the world without the guiding hand of her parents. Aysha sought revenge and found it in the Blood Trials where if accepted, she would kill the enemies of her sponsor. In doing this, Aysha may find the truth behind her parents' death. The pair soon fell for each other despite the hero's marriage, and many believed Laraine got jealous of this girl of mystery, and tried to kill her. This was definitely not true. But because the girl was favored by the temple and kingdom Laraine was quickly arrested and put on trial. You can probably tell what happened to Laraine. But something strange happened the day of her execution. As soon as her decapitated head hit the ground the sky turned blood red and it began to rain fire. No one survived that day. But for some reason time went back, and Laraine was back to being a child, but with no memory of her future. There were select few in her life, however, that remembered her tragedy and now perhaps will take action to prevent it. NOTE: I'M AWARE THERE ARE A LOT OF INCONSISTENCIES.
