Ever since the USA officially entered WW2 after the attack on Pearl Harbor almost 1 year ago, times have been hard for everyone. Victory Branson is a 16 year old girl who is doing her part to aid the war effort and help the men overseas.
But when her father and older brother get drafted, and her boyfriend Aidan lies about his age and enlists, along with so many other underage young boys, Victory has to step up her game to help take care of her family as well.
*this is my first WattPad story so go easy on me lol. Updates will be very uneven and maybe if this actually gets some reads I can start doing them regularly. Suggestions are appreciated. Also I've done a lot of research for this but if I get something wrong feel free to tell me*

This is all written by me. MINE! The pics of landscape are mine the rest I googled. When the female silhouette walked out from the shadows shock and fear rolled off me. It was her, the evil woman from my nightmares! With her walking towards us I could feel how evil she was. That's weird, I can feel her evil, how? When Lachlan called her his beloved my heart shattered. Lachlan and the woman who is Gilda his beloved, locked eyes. A heavy weight seemed like it was crushing me. I was suffocating. I had to get out of there and away from her, from them. Lachlan is a 962 year old vampire that is tired of being alone in a world full of humans. Going to extremes to not be alone. After another failed attempt has him running in frustration where he stumbles on a scent he has to find. He's wishing for death, and having no regard for life when he smells the most wonderful smell. He follows the smell and He finds a 5 year old little girl and he's hungry! And then his heartbeats 💗 for the first time in hundreds of years, since he was turned, why??? Why did the Vampires heartbeat 💓? He's determined to find out. Ava is a 5 year old little girl living with her grandmother in a small Missouri town. On her way to the pool for her swimming lessons she notices a stranger. Ava being the sweet little girl that she is offers the stranger help. Give it a chance please!!! There are different time periods through out the story and I tried to choose music for those time periods that reflect upon the chapter. Please constructive criticism only, negative mean people can kick rocks. Warning ⚠️ ⚠️ Adult language, Adult content, violence, abuse. The MC's relationship is bxg, interracial relationships in the story. I am beyond racial or sexual orientation FYI. ⚠️There are some religious references. After the Third World War, in 2026, Earth experienced what the people called, "the Great Calamity". this world wide disaster destroyed much of the worlds nations, but leaving North America and the Caribbean. left with no choice what was left of the old world went into isolation. after years of fighting in North America, the United States Of America was left, the sole surviving nation of the old world. with what technology they had, the US has vowed to keep the memory of the old and free the new of lies. and there's nothing to stop them from doing it. He decides to pack up his family of 31 kids (yes he has that many) and head back to the home he was once taken from: United City, home of the Representatives.
