A NIGERIAN TEEN LOVE STORY

Meet Ola-Adipo Lolalde, a struggling teenager who sells pure water and drinks by the roadside to pay her school fees and feed her family. Born and raised in the slums, Lolade is exposed to the harsh side of life and she struggles to live.

Despite the harsh conditions and unfavorable situations, Lolade remains an unrivalled beautiful young girl. Blessed with a dark shiny skin and good brains, Lolade manages to keep her head up high in the mist of problems and misfortunes.

Comes in your unusual male lead. Born with a really silver spoon in his mouth, Adeagbo-Oke Jesse is your usual tall handsome guy with the tea brown eyes. Jesse has lived all in his life having everything at his beck and call and so has never really wanted anything in his life.

All Jesse did that afternoon was to wind down the window to try to buy a bottle of chilled coke by the roadside. Struck dumb by the girl who was also gawking at him, Jesse's heart starts pounding.

Lolade had seen the black Bentley wind down the glass and she had rushed to sell her drinks. The sight that greeted her blew her breadth away. Words refused to form as she just continued to stare at him.

And so a love story starts.

The Grey In Black And White {COMPLETED}

21 parts Complete

The teenage period is usually not always easy. You make mistakes, you learn from them. It's like a moulding phase towards adulthood, which tends to be harder than adults make it sound. Especially in this generation. Growing up in a society where having a psychological condition means you're a freak, abnormal or an attention seeker. Where gender inequality is still seen as normal and right. Where anything other than Heterosexuality means you're possessed or the spawn of the devil. Where showing your emotions as a guy means you're soft and weak, because toxic masculinity isn't seen as a problem. Also, having anything to do that's related to these "atrocities" means you're set for an even bigger social stigma. Being a teenager becomes harder than hard. Just a group of teenagers trying to find a place for themselves in midst of a backward society, realising that life can't be all black and white. Growing in an African home is hard but what's harder is being a Nigerian. O le gán. "It is better to be hated for what you are, than to be loved for what you're not." -André Gide
