The jungle is a creature. Alive. Those who enter, mingle and get lost. Whoever gets lost becomes prey and predator. They are part of it now. Kill, eat than get eaten. Be it an ant, a person or a civilization: the jungle dissolves everything. Pastel is a young hunter forced into exile in the dense jungle, in search of his people and the caresses of the one he loves. But memories of his native plains still burn his lungs, sting his eyes and ravage his heart, almost as much as the ash-stained air whistling with incendiary arrows.
