After Mei had to leave Athena, Athena turned to alcohol, weed, fighting, and music to confront her broken heart. Alcohol consumption and fights became weekly. While smoking weed almost became daily. However, in her broken state she still made amazing music, inspiring others. Making her famous as 'The Girl In The Mask' even thought that isn't her artist name. Even with all of this fame and money, she wasn't happy at all.
As for Mei she hated her life, she didn't want to be with Layla. She wanted to be with Athena. But she couldn't, if she left she'd be ruining her family name, abandoning it. She didn't know what to do. She was unhappy with her life, she felt like a robot doing what she was told and never feeling emotions. She'd replay the memories of her and Athena on dates or just being there with her. She'd look at the videos and photos that her and Athena took. Her life was hell. But she felt as if she hurt her lover more.
'Your really just gonna let Layla take your girl?'
"No,"
