SHORT OF BREATH.

❝ Sloane Griffin was never spotted without an inhaler clasped in her hand or pressed to her mouth as she drew in ragged breaths to ease her ever present discomfort.

Despite her severe asthma, Sloane went jogging every morning with her step-mother along the forest trail before they went their seperate ways. On a windy Tuesday, instead of running along her usual route, Sloane ran toward the sound of snarling animals.

Perhaps it was mere curiosity or a poorly made decision as a result of light headedness. Sloane would never understand what led her to the meadow that morning, or more importantly, to her.

But Sloane did know one thing - she didn't blame her actions on bad luck because having Bella Swan in her life was anything but. ❞
