Prologue 

Lifting the knife I looked at my reflection for one last time before I left it behind, I sliced through my long brown hair leaving it alone in the place I've called my home for years. Taking nothing but a weeks worth of food, the little money I own, and my prized possession, my father's bracelet, I leave; not looking back...

Haggling With the rice growers I manage to get a ride halfway  to my destination but I would be on my own after that. Tired from planning I fall asleep hidden under the rice Patties.

I wake up to the sound of farm animals. Suddenly the rice above me is pulled away leaving the face of my driver.

"This is as far as I'll take you."

"thank you" I said Handing him a few extra gold pieces. 

As he rides off I look forward at the journey ahead of me. 'Please let the Sensei teach me.' I think remembering why I need to do this...
