At this point, I was running, and Jacob and Peter were following my lead. The bridge was creaking even louder, and from behind us, I heard a loud snap!

I don't bother looking back this time, keeping all my focus on getting the heck off this bridge. I should've looked back, though. Because then I could've warned Peter. A moment later, I hear a yell and the crack of wood breaking.

And when I turn to look back to see what happened, my heart stops.
