"Dark shalt beest this fire,
   'Twill gathereth forth.
Above art Nine bright shin'rs,
The dark shalt smoth'r them all."

She was to be the guardian of the realm, the holder of the threads of existence that bound all the magic in the world, as her ancestors were before her. Vaerys Galaenys is no stranger to assassins, those who wish to hold the power that ties every man and beast in the Isles of Ula'ree. The night of her mother, Aenora's death, the burden of the threads of existence passes on to her, branding her queen of the isles at the young age of eleven.

But Fate is a fickle thing, and she was about to tip the scales in another's favor.

Ragaevor Celinarys was a name spoken only in hushed tones. A man who had conquered the binds on his power, the ones placed by Vaerys's ancestors who hoped to limit the greed of men. But some, those who loathe the Galaenys queens for their binds on magic, claim Ragaevor is no man at all, but perhaps a son of the Nine gods themselves. None of that matters the night Vaerys' mother dies. He has come, and he comes for her power.

When her mother's Advisor Paramount, Lord Caildish, offers a solution, Ragaevor's battalions at the gates, Vaerys grants him a seed of power. Just enough to send her back in time, where she might be safe from Ragaevor. Thrust nigh on eight hundred years in the past, Vaerys knows not who she is. She grows up Ahresa Ennion, the baseborn child of Lord Rahaellis of Ironforge. She eats at the lord's table and is schooled alongside the lord's own children. Yet even so, something haunts her. Every time she gazes at her reflection she remembers a name. Vaerys. Aenora. Ragaevor. She knows that if she forgets these names, everything she is will cease to exist.

But even eight hundred years may not be far enough from Ragaevor, and he has new plans for Vaerys.

"It is time for you to find a suitable lady to marry, don't you think?", my mother comments. Our feast has nearley started and I have already had enough. "Not something I occupy myself thinking about.", I comment, not sure if the told lie was for her, or for me. "Stark girl is looking for a husband. Talissa, if I remember correctly. I think she would be a good fit for you.", she persists and I chuckle, "A good fir for me yet you barely know her name." She opens her mouth to speak but I decide to put a stop to this annoying conversation, "A wife is something I do not need nor desire at this moment. If my dearest sister becomes queen my martial status will be the last thing to keep you up at night." My mother looks at me, "That won't happen, I assure you." Helaena touches mothers hand, taking her attention away from me. I tab my middle finger on the wooden table a few times, lifting my eye to find the person that has been, to my discomfort, taking a fraction of my mind lately. She's talking to Damon, a smile painted across her face as she rests her chin on her hand, carefully listening to him talking. It took some time before her eyes swiftly shifted from his face to mine and the realization of me looking made her drop her arm and straighten up in her seat. My attention made her visibly nervous. Few moments later she stood up and, without thinking, my body did the same. I start walking, making sure I don't loose her in the crowd. I am playing a dangerous game but it is something I simply can not seem to resist. ***** When Damon Targen finds an old broken amulet at his deceased grandmothers house, he asks his friend and co-worker Emma for help in finding more about it, but what they discover will lead them down the complicated path of his family tree and history, eventually getting them trapped in a world they know little about ...a world where war is about to break out and every small move you make decides if you will live or die.

[THIS STORY WILL BE TAKEN DOWN ON SEPTEMBER 30, 2024] She's the reason the heart of my family had been torn apart. Because that night, I'd unwittingly chosen her. Now she's my prey. Nelle:- Cursed by a terrifying dark power, I'm a secret hidden in plain sight and trapped on my family estate, hardly leaving its gated confines. For no one is permitted to wield magic not approved by those we serve-the Horned Gods. And if my secret is discovered, everyone I love will die. But, of late, I barely can control the darkness writhing beneath my flesh. I desperately need to unearth its secrets, which means escaping my family home to seek answers to dangerous questions from a monster. The only person I can turn to for help is Graysen Crowther-a ruthless enforcer and, ugh, my jerk-of-a-fiancé. Of course, there's always a catch with Graysen. This time, he desires a kiss. But that one kiss awakes something more dangerous than desire and more mysterious than even the magic of the insidious marriage contract that binds us together. Graysen:- I'm the one entrusted by my family to uncover the depths of Nelle's sinister secret. And worse, our mutual loathing and hatred for our arranged union runs alongside an undeniable attraction. Yet, time is running out fast. I'm recklessly trying to figure out what she is, and far more irritating, why that strange hyperawareness has always existed between us. Threats sweep in from all sides. Even her own family needs her dead to shield themselves from the Horned Gods' wrath. Because while I'm hunting Nelle, something else is hunting her too. And there's no way in Nine Hells I'll allow her to be stolen. ['Of Crows and Thorns' is an epic saga that belongs to Nelle and Miss Catt. We alternate between these two leads, along with the Crowther brothers. All the novels, no matter who the leads are or what timeline they occur, drive the dire dilemma of Nelle's storyline.] Cover Design by Ren Tachibana

One year ago, Prythian suffered an attack at the hands of the necromancer, Melantha. She was ultimately defeated, but the marks of her terrible influence still remain in the memories and on the bodies of her victims. Wynter, Heir to the Winter Court, bears many of those marks. Unable to live with himself after what happened on the island Inmortui, Wynter chose to go into seclusion and face his lingering trauma alone. Regardless of his attempts to isolate himself, there are those who refuse to abandon him, no matter how badly he wishes they would. Elodie Rohese has carried a fondness towards Wynter since she first met him, just before he was kidnapped by Melantha. She refuses to leave him alone in his isolation, and instead, visits his home frequently, even though he never admits her. Despite her uncle's wrath and prejudices, Elodie continues to reach out to Wynter. When circumstances finally drive Wynter to answer her, they are both swept into a storm of unresolved trauma and unacknowledged romance. Together, they can weather the storm, but apart, it will only break them. Disclaimer: I do not own the ACOTAR series or the characters and places therein.
