We've all grown up watching the MCU movies, but what happens when the Avengers are suddenly transported into our universe from 2014?

Meet Arty Hemmings, a normal 17 year old, who just so happens to stumble across the Avengers at her local park. Of course, she can't do much to help them, but can she? Nah, she's just there as the entertainment she thinks, but Tony Stark turns her into an asset to the Avengers and offers her a life she can't resist.

THIS STORY HAS MOVED TO TUMBLR! Details given in the latest update. A story in which America's favorite Captain gives a new life and family to a five-year-old girl who has suffered well beyond her years... During an intense Hydra-disassembly mission, the Avengers are able to successfully detain countless Hydra personnel, as well as several of the evil agency's test subjects. But in the midst of the harrowing scene, America's favorite Captain is asked to investigate the final holding cell in the experimentation lab. There, he finds a small child huddled fearfully in a corner with a blindfold over her eyes, a complete contrast to the other prisoners who were all super-built, raging with anger, and ready to fight. Over his earpiece, the other Avengers are able to offer Captain scrambled bits of information they've all gathered about this mysterious creature, referred to as simply "Girl." But when she's brought back to the Avenger's Headquarter's to be further investigated, he finds out that there's much more to this little girl's story than anyone had initially imagined. With the seemingly complete elimination of Hydra, the heroic group are offered more freedom and time to make real lives for themselves. But Steve Rogers has formed a soft spot for a certain fellow ex-test subject. Along with the help of his friends, will he be able to help Girl heal and find hope for her future? And what will happen when Girl's dark past attempts to catch back up with her? [Trigger warning: physical, emotional, and sexual abuse of a child.] [Spoiler alert: This fan-fiction will include many unavoidable spoilers to most of/if not all the films in the Avengers series. Read at your own discretion.] [Lowercase of titles intended.] All original writing. Steve Rogers and all other Marvel Universe content belong to their respective owners/creators.

Years of abuse from her new 'guardians' almost drove her mad- until at 22 she was taken by Hydra and spent the next year the subject of inhumane experiments, causing her to release her powers. She made her escape, and the Avengers discovered her collapsed in the snow after the Hydra base exploded. The team were faced with a difficult choice to make in order to save her life. Will she be able to open up and start again? Will she be able to accept her reality? And where will her choices take her? * Don't judge the cover I don't have Photoshop I had to use Microsoft Paint haha my laptop is so old. Also this is the first time I am sharing one of my stories so if you judge please be gentle! * It doesn't really follow the movies, it is more of an in-between movies kind of thing crossed with my own storyline. I do not own Marvel or any of their characters.
