Virgil Piere has worked as part of the Order for his whole life, him and his division swiftly climbing up the ranks of command in their Legion. He has everything a good soldier could want; the respect of the Legion, a stepfather who's proud of him, and the leadership of his division. Everything seemed great, until he comes across two other creatures, both down on their luck and in need of help. After taking care of these two creatures, a golden saraph named Janus and a white and grey fox cub named Remus, Virgil must make a very difficult decision.
