What is the answer to world peace? Is it power? Good heart? Respect? Worthiness? Despite every answer we've decided the world will inevitably rebound into its cycle of selfishness. Once Nature Manipulation was discovered, this tragic fate of mankind got even worse. Rather than using our abilities to bring further opportunity for love and unity, the world used it as a chance for greed and self gain. 7 total regions were in constant battle with one another, using these abilities to attempt to wipe the others from existence so they may take the rest of the land and claim it for themselves. For this reason, an academy was made, to teach students at a young age how to manipulate nature to protect themselves. Once these academy students graduated they were deemed "Defenders." Defenders were given one task: to maintain the land and protect all the citizens who lived in it. Taiyoko was one of these defenders....however..after a tragic accident, he suffers from amnesia and PTSD. He can't remember what his purpose is, what the accident was, and why he was in the academy. For Taiyoko, the world had almost started over...but for everyone else, destruction and war was imminent, and the fate of their land was reaching its climax...

Despite it being well past sunrise, the house was dark. I had woken up with a start, hearing the sound of a car below but now as I lay awake, I was in even more of a panic. "Don't make a sound." She whispered as she clasped a hand over my mouth, "The house is surrounded. They're going to kill us. They're going to kill the countries." ... It is gradually nearing to two decades since Taishya Rovanoff ran away with her twins and despite the media taking the world by storm, great tensions are underlying once-happy friendships with the nations. When a young and perhaps too-curious state comes across some files, she decides it is her own personal mission to solve the missing-twin mystery. This, however, proves more challenging than not when old scars are reopened leading to a series of events which brings the world to its knees. With forgotten prophecies and mysterious attacks threatening the lives of once-strong countries, the world is inevitably falling apart. So how is it, with all the chaos going on, a missing lady, a set of twins, a naïve child, a sickly teenager, a frightened mother, a celestial body and a queen all bring about the darkest hour the personified nations have ever faced? (It's been a while since I made a Touhou story... a really long time in fact.) Gensokyo, a land where the fantasy and the unknown is more than mere myths written on papers and spread by superstitious people. Inside, a completely different world exist, a world separated from our own by the great Hakurei Barrier. In it, youkais exist and live their lives while the few humans inside are grouped together, living in fear of the monsters roaming this land. This is how Gensokyo behaves; a stable "peace" maintained by people in charge of keeping this world of fantasy in its current state. With so many creatures with different mindsets and frightening powers, events called "incidents" are bound to occur. Thankfully, the shrine maiden attending to the barrier is quick to take action, even despite her annoyed groans. ...This is one of those many incidents that should have easily been taken care of. Yes, a winter overstaying its welcome seemed like an easy task to deal with. Yet, something went wrong. It was never solved. The endless snow continued to fall and no one could understand what caused this drastic change. The weather grew stronger and with it, its poison and true intentions finally emerged. Those exposed to the harsh environment soon began to suffer symptoms of a strange disease and fell into madness, attacking everyone in sight regardless of their nature. It was not uncommon to see Fairies attack and even devour each other for survival against the temperature. The threat Gensokyo was facing seemed relentless and nobody was safe from its effect; going outside with no protection was akin to signing your last will. Finally... the last straw that brought ruin to this world was the death of the shrine maiden. The strength of this eternal winter slipped past the breaking barrier and reached the Outside World, plunging the planet into chaos. This will likely a short story but I think I will aim to get more detailed in descriptions of things. They say Ignorance is blissful but that isn't always true for those that have to deal with the issues that others are ignorant of. The others are ignorant of how impactful their words can be, that doesn't mean the other side of the story isn't unaffected though. UA was meant to be better. They were meant to be less ignorant of the world's problems since they are aiming to be heroes! So why does it hurt so much? The past always catches up to you even when you don't want it to. -MHA AU- A Post-Apocalyptic World
The world in My Hero Academia has been flipped upside down when this disastrous event happened. With more reports of the incident, not just from Japan, but all over the world have reached a widespread epidemic. However, it has finally reached to it's breaking point and soon it became 'doomsday' all over the world. Inside the city, it was far from safe. People were either killed from the bites or from the riots. Ten years went by. The city's filled with blood thirsty zombies along with survivors who are just trying to get through it all one day at a time. Among many others inside the city was a 15 year old boy named Izuku Midoriya. In this AU, he will reach his breaking point and thought that all hope is lost, when he comes across a group of scouts who found him and brought him to the deep part of the forest where there are villages inside and away from the city. This AU will have most of the the characters from the show My Hero Academia and there will be some ships that I will include in the story, but before I can continue, I want to point out that I do not owe the show or the characters (other than a few of my OC's), I am just a fan who just wanted to write this AU for fun.
