A lot of people in the TTTE fandom don't like Thomas and the Magic Railroad (and I completely understand why) but I love the film, so I thought it would be fun to rewrite it! I'm not very good at writing (although I'll be taking a writing class next year) so any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading!

In my AU, Lady does exist and events that are similar to TATMR take place, but all the 'gold dust' BS does not exist. So here is my version of a realistic TATMR. Everything has its place
Thomas' new life began in a metal box lurching through an elevator shaft. Confused, scared and filled with curiosity, he thinks the boys laughing maliciously at him are going to roast him over an open fire and eat him. When that doesn't happen, he's left with too many questions about who he is and where he came from. In his heart, though, he knows that he must become a Runner. A boy who is chosen to run through their prison, a Maze, and find an escape. This is a rewrite of the Maze Runner movies. I don't really know if rewrite is the right word, but I'm using this as an opportunity to practice my writing. It'll follow the structure of the movies with minor adjustments, especially just now in the first one. Later on more adjustments will happen, I think. I also want to include Newt/Thomas in this rewrite as I find the ship cute. My writing is a bit clunky and all-over-the-place but I hope you enjoy :) Please feel free to offer constructive criticism.
