Dakota is a 15 year old boy, dealing with several day-to-day common problems such as bullies, his sexuality and an abusive father. Falling in love with a boy over the internet may have helped his depression dull down only slightly, until the realization that the boy he loves also has depression. When it comes to meeting people face to face at his school, Dakota soon develops a crush for a boy the same age as the one over the internet. With the stress of picking which boy to let go and which to try harder for, getting his abusive father in jail, and warding off bullies, what will he do? Will he give into his depression and try to end the pain? Or will he fight back and try to get better?

There is this girl called Dakota and she is pretty shy. She is what you call the typical quite girl. Most people say that she is mute because of her lack of speaking but that isn't true. She does speak a lot but only in front her own family members. Dakota has her problems that keeps her from speaking up against the school bully, Kristina. She is so perfect but she ruins it by bulling Dakota. She beats all the emotions out of her whether it be physically or mentally or even both. These things continue to happen and Dakota starts to get desperate and does something that will change the course of her life.
