The Prime

Heinst found a woman perched on a hill near the dilapidated Santo Thomas church. Bloodied and bruised, Primera was conscious yet motionless. Her back hurts the most. She could hear the heavy tread of boots coming her way and thanked God for sending her aid. Her mind's rumbling of words she wanted to speak. Earlier that day, she came to visit her Grandmother who lived on the outskirts of town. Like a little red riding hood, she met a sly wolf but the story seems to be different for her. Trekking the path leading to her Grandmother's house, she was cheated by one person whom she knew all her life. Her uncle was aware that Primera holds such power to purify the tainted ones. Her being exceptional brought something dark within her uncle's heart. Greed, indeed.
