Her mother puts her foot down as Rita started to get ill, her mom takes her to a mental health hospital. She deals with consequences from her nurses and other patients.

He didn't say anything, and he didn't grimace, but I could see on his face that he didn't like what he saw. My chubby belly, my stretch marks, and the faint line of hair below my navel that I hadn't had time to shave. Well, I know it's not the most attractive sight, but then why did he want to see my belly? Honestly, what was he expecting? "Can I pull my T-shirt back down?" I asked, humiliated and irked. "Yes," Mr. Calnan replied after a brief pause. He didn't speak for a while, just stared at my now-covered stomach with a blank expression. Meanwhile, I waited impatiently and tensely for him to do something. I needed to know whether he was actually going to give me the money or not, and whether it would turn out that this had all just been a test. Suddenly, he moved toward me, closing the distance between us. He loomed over me, and I looked up at his face in alarm. "I'll give you another 1000 if you let me touch your hips."
