Zoey Springdale was forced to move in with her father at a young age. He remarried Zoey's step-mother, who constantly abuses her. Her father was never around, even if he was he wouldn't care. The abuse causes her to avoid people and become the "freak" at school. She befriends the only person who is willing to be kind to her, Max Robinson. Max is happy not being popular as long as he has Zoey, but one day he goes behind her back and talks bad about her to become one of the "cool" kids. What he doesn't expect is for Zoey to overhear him. Her world comes crashing down, knowing she has no left. She rushes home, pack her stuff and runs away. Destination? Unknown. Will she ever return? She doesn't know. Will he realize how important she was in his life before it's too late? Maybe.

This story holds romance, family, trust, understanding the past, and conquering your fears. *Read to find out more, I know it may sound boring from the description, but it's really not.
