For Maddie's WTTP Concept Challenge! A bunch of short stories crafted for each character to explain kind of how the week goes, how they got chosen to be part of the camp, and where they ended up after, signed or not. I tried my best for each character to fit them with someone right for them and where I saw them ending up in the stories. Not all are perfect so I apologize! These writings were just too long to add to the comments of Instagram and there were too many so each chapter is one for another character and I hope you guys enjoy them all! Concept main idea down below:
The Palmetto State Foxes are now one of the top teams in the Exy Sports League. After their Championship win last year the Foxes are now the fourth best team in the nation. And while the Foxes small team has always worked for them, there is a demand for them to bring in more players. They need at least 6 more players to continue to remain in the Exy League. In order to pick these candidates easier, Coach David Wymack decided to host a camp where each player would pick a player or two they liked out of the stack of recruits and bring them to a week long training camp over the summer. If the players could keep up and mesh well with the messy foxes team then they could be signed and get to stay. If they couldn't mesh well with the team or showed no interest in the sport or couldn't keep up with the sport then they would be let go. This team needed recruits but it would be up to the players who would stay or go. Why? Well no one wants to talk about the bad of last year with newbies. Just see if they could keep up with this messy grouping.

I closed my eyes tightly until I heard laughing. No, I could feel the laughing. My eyes sprang open to find Miles on top of me. I was laying flat on my back in the dirt with my glove with the ball inside pressed against his chest. Miles was not at all fat, but he was 6'2 compared to my barely 5'3. I could feel his chest rumbling and shaking with laughter as I lay humiliated on the ground. "I didn't know you liked being on the bottom," Miles said loudly. The whole field cracked up with that. The whole team was in hysterics as I shoved all my things in my bag and practically ran off to get away. ... Gloria is like any other 17 year old girl getting ready for summer break, but this summer is going to be completely different. Gloria has been playing baseball since she could remember and has been invited to a national baseball camp. Being a girl in the world of a male-dominated sport, she couldn't even count how many times people have told her she needed to find something else to do. Her dad kept her playing though, even after he died a few years ago, that didn't stop Gloria from doing what she loved. The only problem is she is the only girl at the camp for three months. Enter the problem of suddenly having to share a room, more specifically, sharing with Miles Harris. Gloria must deal with Miles, a big shot and arrogant jerk, and all the other horny, testosterone driven baseball players, who just might push Gloria off the edge of sanity. The Story of Kristy Killings {SWPB album interpretation}
Some warnings + before reads I guess --- As a huge Snow White's Poison Bite fan, who also got inspired by another user's interpretation of the TSOKK album, I decided to write this short story. - the story is written in third person, sometimes switching to first person depending on the character I am writing and if I feel like it - I do NOT own any of these characters as they are real people (okay... I have renamed the jock and the blondie he hooked with since they needed some names in order to clarify my vision of the story though. I also gave Kristy a last name, so basically I do own them ONLY, plus some side characters) - I also do NOT own the album "The Story Of Kristy Killings", nor any of its songs. All the credits go to the band Snow White's Poison Bite - yes, there will be bloody descriptions of several parts throughout the story, and some characters will get freaky too - the book has 11 chapters with about 26.3k words in total Short Introduction [The End Of Prom Night] --- Kristy Wood, a senior emo loner in high school, is always barely spoken to and thought of having insane murder thoughts. That is until one day, when the almighty day of prom night arrived. Everyone is so busy finding a partner before it's too late, so with full hopes and wishes, Kristy wishes to confess her crush for Brandon, the most popular boy in school, who is also known for being the school's football team's leader (and for hooking up with three girls a week). Things take a turn to the worse, though, and the prom night doesn't go as expected. The Price of Life - A Novella
SOOO we obviously didn't make the deadline lol. This story is unfinished and will remain that way. This is the best example of a rushed concept with no actual plot lol. I wrote blind and hated most of what I had written. I've redesigned this concept and I'm rewriting it with a stronger concept and a laid-out plot. I will release the rewrite when it's done. I'm keeping this published so I can look back at my growth and so others can also see the transformation if they are interested. **** The drive back to Fox Tower was silent between Andrew's group. The Foxes victory against the Ravens left the team rattled with happiness. Matt and the others chatted away cheerfully on the ride back. Neil sat behind Andrew. He still felt the push of Andrew's lips against his. Neil brought hand up to his face and ran his thumb over his bottom lip, his heartbeat quickened as he thought about it. All his life he had been running, but the Foxes gave him a home. They refused to give him up, even though they now all knew who he was, where he had come from. But his past did not define him, he carried it with him, but it couldn't weight the Exy-player down anymore. Only the now counted, the present. - Neil had needed this appreciation. The auburn haired was feeling tingly all over, aching, sweating. Andrew lay beside him, following his example. His expression was saying something different than 'boring'. He was just as exhausted as Neil was. He turned away to not look at the striker. Neil wondered on that. As the blonde turned around to face him again, his eyes were glistening, his lips formed a tight line. "What are you-", Neil began, but Andrew's hand flew fastly in front of his mouth, covering up the words he intended to ask. "Don't talk", Andrew told him in a growly voice, "This ain't getting no easier with you" Neil took Andrew's hand off his mouth, which Andrew didn't protest against.
