Josette Amara Monroe was born to a muggle father and witch mother. Her mother died when Josette was 10, leaving her to her father who became a shadow of himself, drinking and falling into a spiralling depression.

Her father resented Josette for her magic and her metamorphic powers as it reminded him of her late mother.

At Hogwarts Josette made friends with a group of ragtag boys and shared many adventures and memories with them and the girls she shared her dorm with.
