Laura Jane is looked at as the perfect child, her mother thinks. Straight A's, perfect attendance, never got a detention, never talked back. I could go on. But the facade she puts on at school is the opposite from what really happens at home.  Her mom, Rebecca, took Laura across the country. From the back hills of Kentucky, to the bright city of San Francisco, California. Little Laura has never seen such a place. Back home, believe it or not, she did some pretty reckless things. But now, she's gotta find something else that doesn't remind her so much of her father. Something dangerous. It feels good for Laura
 to do something bad for once. To do something that shows people she's not the prim and proper good girl they thought she was. Although, wanting to stay in the dark isn't exactly what's going to happen.

He turns away. Leaving his whole family behind. Leaving all if his friends behind. Leaving me behind.

"I don't want you to go." He stops dead in his tracks, and turns around.

"Why? Please Laura give me a reason why I should not turn around and leave this awful place behind me." He's voice sounds pleading

"Because I love you. I know it sounds selfish, but if that's what I am, if that's what I have to be to keep you here--" I was cut off when he grabbed the back of my neck and pulled my lips to his.

It was like he was begging me to kiss him back. 

So I did.

Currently rewriting it so this is the first draft! ꧁꧂ Novaly always loved her calm life. Two lovely parents, a best friend, a passion for soccer, a nice house: she had everything. Until it all came to a crash when her parents died in a fire that burnt down her house. Now, by the end of her 17th year, she is an orphan, counting only on her friends to heal her unexpected bruises. Her friends wished she had a boyfriend, but never she interested herself in having one. It's true, she is a pretty girl. But not pretty enough to have every boy around her like other girls from school. But when her path crosses Ander's, her definition of loving changes. He is rude, a bit of a poetic psycho, sometimes so mysterious she wonders if she really knew him, If he isn't just the fruit of her imagination. But curiously, even after pushing him off every time, they always seem to find their way back to each other. Could this really be love? Or just adrenaline screaming through both of their bodies? Ander seems to know some kind of secret about Novaly, something that could change the way she sees him forever. But will he be bold enough to tell her? Even at the risk of losing her forever? Do you understand that?" He whispers in my ear, I hold my hand against the bullet wound. His eyes roll back, and my tears cover his shirt. SHORT CHAPTERS, Update (I thought this was going to be a short story, really, but Romeo and Juliet have other things in mind.) ------ He rips my phone from my hand again and puts it behind him. "Tell me how it works then." "We have to kiss." He looks at me for a few seconds, then grins. I recognize that smile. He's thinking of something mischievous. "A kiss?" "What? Are you worried of kissing me?" His hand swiftly finds the back of my head. A slight tug on my hair and a swift lean in for a kiss leaves me breathless. But breath seems unnecessary. His tongue invades my mouth with a rough yet skilled dance, leading me onto his lap. My hands explore his body, tracing the contours of his chest and arms. ----------------------- Dive into the exhilarating world of Romeo and Juliet as they elevate the game to unprecedented heights. As the reigning players of their school, they're mirror images of each other, identical in spirit but divided by gender. They embark on a daring test of wits and wills against each other. He cocked his head to the side walking closer to me, as I started backing up "You thought you could hide the fact that she's my kid?" He pointed to the house "She's not y-your-s" I stutter more and my back hit the door as he climbed my steps "Don't lie to me now Lesy" he mocked using my old nick name. He grow closer and I started freaking out all over again ************ Tessa went back home. Her parents passed and left the house to her. She took up the offer and moved from Texas to Montana. When she got there she met a girl who led to meeting her old lover from high school. As soon as the words hello came from his mouth she knew she still had feelings for him, but she needed to stay far away from him.
