America has been wearing a mask for as long as he can remember around the other nations, but all of his hard work is about to fall through. Dissatisfied with the world, the Ancients have decided to intervene and seized their chance during a week-long world meeting. As the world is trapped in a pocket realm were real-time is slowed to a snail's pace, they watch each other's memories. Over one hundred and ninety-four times America watched nations shed tears, draw blood, and exchange words and apologies as he valiantly stuck himself in the middle to keep and encourage peace while jeopardizing his wellbeing. And after months and months of keeping up an already cracked and crumbling mask, there is only one nation left. The Masquerade is over.

America is the happy, joyful, always smiling, and loud country, but what if everything they know about him is a lie? A mask no one could see through. The mask no one tried to look through. There was a lot they didn't know about him. A lot he hid from them. A lot he kept inside his cracking heart. Secrets will be spilled, and skeletons will come out of the closet. Feelings kept inside for so long, will come out. The sides of America they never knew of will come out today. The mask will come off today. The mask that's been worn for so long. Will he be saved? What happened to America? Who is America really? How many lies have been told? How many hearts will be broken? Did they ever know America at all? How many friendships will be built, and how many destroyed? How long has America deceived them all? How will they see America now? Will America come out of this better or worse? When Fear Takes Hold
A new, deadly disease is spreading, and although necessary precautions are put in place, the nations don't show much concern. That is, until it's revealed they aren't immune to it either. A special quarantine is organized for the nations who have fallen ill as researchers around the world attempt to find a cure.
