Ambalika is a kinnara. Half-human and half-bird.

Her life has been pretty normal since the day she came to Parvatipur to live with her Grandma and her brother. But she has other plans. Plans she has been working on for years.

She is going to turn 13 and finally, she will be able to take her revenge and bring justice to her dead parents. But things just do not go her way.

She is attacked by her parents' killers. Her brother is injured and her best friend is dead. 

But fate is not that cruel.

Hope arrives in the form of an invitation. An invitation to join the Annual competition and maybe get the chance to train from the best of Yodhas. She accepts it.

But what she doesn't know is that accepting the invitation is going to include way more than she is prepared for. Befriending the careless prince and winning the completion is just the least of all of her worries.

This book follows Ambalika on a journey of politics, friendship, revenge, and self-discovery. A journey to unknowingly save the world.
