"Unfortunately, I wish it was just a made-up story, something that belonged in the realm of fiction. But it isn't. I'm guessing it started happily at first. Just a naive 10-year-old enjoying what life threw at her. As they say, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. But I didn't. I longed for more. With my lemons, I wanted lemonade, lemon cake, lemon pie, honey and lemon juice, lemon tea, and even lemon water!" I guess now I can't have any of that anymore, right? In a world full with too many characters, defined and undefined. Being a graduate of the medical field, and the first child of an average family in Nigeria, faced with the challenges and pressures of life, and the being reminded about the achievements she dreamt to accomplish while she was young, she is determined to do them even if she passes through the bizarre and dreadful parts of life. But we can't predict if she made it or not, or could we? In this fascinating and thought-provoking saga, she focuses her attention on searching for a glimmer of hope, a chance to prove herself to her world, and then like a whisper, in the darkness, make the unknown known. A presence that would challenge the very fabric of her existence, and of course rewrite her approved story.
Destined Hearts
Muhammad thought of Madeenah as a child, younger than his baby sister, although way more mature. She seemed to have created a bond with his daughter and that was all that came to his mind about her. Not her smooth caramel skin, or her captivating light brown eyes and neither did her sweet voice do it for him. Madeenah thought of Ya Muhammad as an arrogant and stoic person but a really good father. In truth she was terrified of him.
