Eliott Frenula lives a normal life, living all by himself in a small house in the town of Nettlewood. That is, until he finds a mysterious book in a bookstore clear-out called "controlled."
However, the book isn't normal. Everything that happens in the book soon happens in real life, so much so that Eliott fears for his life.
Things soon turn out of control when the book tells Eliott some pretty disturbing things about his potential future.
