Bliss, merely 17, came from a local public school in the city of Los Angeles, California - now stuck being home-schooled - doesn't exactly feel what her name means. The only time she's ever felt true happiness was when she hung out with her so-called "friends" who secretly and annoyingly didn't even like her, which she found out after four years of befriending them. Four years of revealing her most embarrassing secrets, four years of pointless laughter, four years of pretend sleepovers, four years of wasteful spending on movies and just-for-no-reason gifts, four years of betrayal, four years of trusting. But, of course, it all changes when Bliss, to her dismay, starts attending an ostentatious private school - too pompous for her liking and totally not prepared for whatever shit life throws at her. Somewhat a cliche, but true.
